Dermal fillers are injectable gel-like substances used to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are typically made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, or other biocompatible materials.

Dermal fillers work by adding volume to areas of the face that have lost volume or developed wrinkles due to aging, sun exposure, or other factors. They can also be used to enhance features such as lips and cheeks, providing a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Dermal fillers can be used to treat various areas of the face, including the cheeks, nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, lips, under-eye hollows, chin and jawline. They can also be used for non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose reshaping).

When administered by a qualified  professional, dermal fillers are generally safe. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, including bruising, swelling, redness, and allergic reactions. It’s essential to discuss the risks and benefits within your consultation before undergoing treatment.

The duration of dermal filler results varies depending on factors such as the type of filler used, the area treated, and individual metabolism. Generally, hyaluronic acid fillers last between 6 to 24 months, while other fillers may have longer-lasting effects. Maintenance treatments are typically needed to sustain results over time.

Downtime after dermal filler treatment is minimal for most patients. Some temporary side effects such as bruising, swelling, and redness may occur, but these usually resolve within a few days. Patients can typically resume their normal activities after treatment (please see aftercare advise for exact information).

Discomfort during dermal filler injections is usually minimal and well-tolerated by most patients. Many dermal fillers contain a local anaesthetic called lidocaine to minimise discomfort during the procedure. Additionally, topical numbing cream may be applied to further enhance comfort.

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be partially or completely reversed using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This enzyme breaks down hyaluronic acid, allowing the filler to be dissolved and metabolised by the body. Reversal is typically used in cases of overcorrection, asymmetry, or dissatisfaction with results.

Suitable candidates for dermal fillers are individuals who are in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and desire improvement in facial volume, wrinkles, or contour irregularities. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals with certain medical conditions may not be suitable candidates.

Before undergoing dermal filler treatment, it’s essential to schedule a consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns. You may be advised to avoid certain medications and supplements that can increase the risk of bruising, such as aspirin and blood thinners, leading up to the procedure.

It is advised to avoid alcohol 24 hours before

It is advised to drink 2ltrs on water the day before/day of procedure (hydration maximises results).

Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area: For the first 24 hours post-procedure, try to avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated area to prevent any displacement of the filler.

Apply cold compresses: If you experience swelling or bruising, applying cold compresses to the treated area can help reduce inflammation and discomfort. Use a clean cloth or an ice pack wrapped in a towel and apply it gently to the area for short intervals.

Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help your body metabolize the filler more efficiently and promote faster healing.

Avoid strenuous exercise: Refrain from engaging in strenuous activities or exercise for the first 24-48 hours following the procedure to minimize swelling and bruising.

Avoid Saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds: At least for 48 hours but preferably 2 weeks after treatment.

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications: Alcohol and certain medications like aspirin or ibuprofen can increase the risk of bruising and swelling. It’s best to avoid them for the first few days post-treatment.

Sleep with your head elevated: Sleeping with your head slightly elevated can help reduce swelling and promote proper circulation to the treated area.

Use gentle skincare products: Avoid using anything but water on your face for that day of procedure. Avoid using harsh skincare products or exfoliants on the treated area for at least a week following the procedure. Opt for gentle cleansers and moisturizers to keep the skin hydrated and protected.

Follow up with your provider: Attend any follow-up appointments scheduled by your provider to ensure proper healing and assess the results of the treatment.

Remember, every individual’s healing process may vary, so it’s essential to follow your provider’s specific aftercare instructions for the best results. If you have any concerns or experience unusual symptoms, don’t hesitate to contact your provider for guidance.

Anti-Wrinkle

Botulinum toxin treatment, popularly known as Botox. It temporarily paralyses muscles by blocking nerve signals, resulting in reduced wrinkles. Trusted by millions worldwide, Botox treatment is the go-to solution for achieving smoother, more youthful-looking skin

  • Professional

  • Quick results

Botox is a brand name for botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin derived from bacteria. It is used medically to treat various conditions and cosmetically to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Anti-Wrinkle works by temporarily paralysing or weakening muscles in the treated area, which smoothens out wrinkles and fine lines caused by repetitive muscle contractions. It blocks nerve signals that trigger muscle contractions, leading to a temporary reduction in muscle activity.

Anti-Wrinkle is commonly used to treat wrinkles and fine lines on the face, including frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), forehead lines, and crow’s feet (lines around the eyes), bunny lines, gummy smile, lip flip. It can also be used for non-cosmetic purposes, such as treating excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and migraine headaches.

When administered by a qualified professional, Anti-Wrinkle is generally safe. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, including bruising, swelling, headache, and temporary muscle weakness. Serious complications are rare but can occur if the treatment is not performed correctly.

The effects of Anti-Wrinkle typically last between 3 to 6 months, although individual results may vary. Over time, muscle activity gradually returns, and wrinkles and fine lines may reappear. Maintenance treatments are usually needed to sustain the desired results.

Downtime after Anti-Wrinkle treatment is minimal for most patients. Some temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection sites may occur, but these typically resolve within a few days. Patients can usually resume their normal activities immediately after treatment  (please see aftercare advise for exact information).

After two weeks from having Anti-Wrinkle injections (botulinum toxin) you will fully see the results, however at this point a review can be done,  additional Anti-wrinkle injections can be added free of charge if required results are not met.

Discomfort during Anti-Wrinkle injections is usually minimal and well-tolerated by most patients. The needles used for Botox injections are very fine, and many formulations of Botox contain a local anaesthetic called lidocaine to minimise discomfort during the procedure.

Unlike dermal fillers, Anti-Wrinkle cannot be reversed with an antidote. However, the effects of Botox are temporary, and muscle activity gradually returns over time as the toxin is metabolised by the body. If necessary, adjustments can be made during follow-up appointments to achieve the desired results.

Suitable candidates for Anti-Wrinkle are individuals who are in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and desire improvement in facial wrinkles or other treated areas. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals with certain medical conditions may not be suitable candidates.

Before undergoing Anti-Wrinkle treatment, it’s essential to schedule a consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns.

Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area: Refrain from touching or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 4 hours after the injection. This helps prevent the spread of the toxin to unintended muscles.

Avoid strenuous exercise: It’s best to avoid vigorous exercise or activities that involve bending over for the first 24 hours post-treatment. This helps prevent the migration of the toxin to unintended muscles.

Stay upright: Try to remain upright for at least 4 hours after the injection. Avoid lying down or reclining excessively during this time to prevent the migration of the toxin.

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications: Refrain from consuming alcohol or taking blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) for at least 24 hours post-treatment. These substances can increase the risk of bruising at the injection site.

Apply cold compresses: If you experience any swelling or bruising at the injection site, applying cold compresses can help reduce inflammation. Use a clean cloth or ice pack wrapped in a towel and apply it gently to the area for short intervals.

Avoid heat exposure: Avoid exposure to excessive heat, such as hot tubs, saunas, or sunbathing, for the first 24 hours post-treatment. Heat can increase blood flow to the area and potentially cause the toxin to spread.

Follow up with your provider: Attend any follow-up appointments scheduled by your provider to assess the results of the treatment and address any concerns you may have.

Be patient: It may take several days up to two weeks to see the full effects of the Botulinum toxin injection. Be patient and allow your body time to respond to the treatment.

If you have any concerns or experience any unusual symptoms after receiving Botulinum toxin injections, don’t hesitate to contact me, there is a two-week review offered after treatment.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, leading to collagen and elastin production, which improves skin texture, tone, and firmness.

Microneedling offers a range of benefits, including:

    • Improved skin texture and tone
    • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
    • Minimisation of acne scars and other types of scarring
    • Smoothing of uneven pigmentation
    • Reduction of pore size
    • Enhanced absorption of skincare products

Microneedling can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage (chest), arms, and hands. It is commonly used to address facial concerns such as wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin texture.

Discomfort during microneedling is generally minimal and well-tolerated by most patients. The procedure may cause a sensation similar to light scratching or tingling. Topical numbing cream is often applied before treatment to minimise discomfort.

The number of microneedling treatments needed varies depending on individual skin concerns and treatment goals. For optimal results, a series of treatments spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart is typically recommended. Normally 4 – 5 sessions. Maintenance treatments may be performed every 6 months to uphold results

Downtime after microneedling is minimal for most patients. Some temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, and mild pinpoint bleeding at the treatment sites may occur, but these usually resolve within a few days. Patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately after treatment (please see aftercare advise for exact information).

Suitable candidates for microneedling are individuals who are in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and desire improvement in skin texture, tone, or scarring. Microneedling is generally safe for all skin types and tones.

Microneedling may not be suitable for individuals with certain skin conditions, active infections, or a history of keloid scarring. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult with their healthcare provider before undergoing microneedling.

Before undergoing microneedling treatment, it’s essential to schedule a consultation  to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns. Your provider may recommend avoiding certain skincare products or medications leading up to the procedure to minimise the risk of adverse effects.

Keep the treated area clean: Wash you face with water only for the first night. wash your face gently with a mild cleanser for the first 3-5 days following microneedling to keep the treated area clean. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleansers that may irritate the skin.

Moisturise regularly: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturiser (preferable a barrier repair moisturiser) to the treated area to help soothe and hydrate the skin. Look for products that contain soothing ingredients like aloe vera or hyaluronic acid.

Protect your skin from the sun: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week following microneedling, as your skin may be more sensitive to sunlight. If you need to go outside, be sure to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher, and wear a wide-brimmed hat for added protection.

Avoid makeup and skincare products with harsh ingredients: Refrain from using makeup or skincare products that contain harsh or irritating ingredients, such as retinoids or exfoliants, for the first week after microneedling.

Avoid hot water and sweating: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment, as heat and sweating can increase inflammation and irritation.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help your skin stay hydrated and aid in the healing process.

Avoid picking or scratching: Resist the urge to pick or scratch at your skin as it heals, as this can increase the risk of infection and scarring.

Follow your provider’s instructions: Be sure to follow any specific aftercare instructions provided by your microneedling provider. They may have additional recommendations based on your individual skin type and treatment goals.

By following these aftercare tips, you can help promote optimal healing and maximise the results of your microneedling treatment. If you have any concerns or experience any unusual symptoms, be sure to contact your skincare provider for guidance.

Aqualyx is a brand name for a type of injectable treatment used for non-surgical fat reduction. It contains a compound called deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring bile acid in the body. Deoxycholic acid helps break down fat cells, which are then metabolised and eliminated by the body’s natural processes.

When Aqualyx is injected into specific areas of the body where localised fat deposits exist, it works to disrupt the fat cell membrane, causing the fat cells to release their contents. Over time, the body naturally processes and eliminates these fat cell remnants, resulting in a reduction in the volume of fat in the treated area.

Lemon Bottle is a type of lipolysis treatment. ‘Lipolysis’ means the breakdown of fats by a process called hydrolysis, a term which covers the release of fatty acids. This is why you’ll often find the terminology ‘melting’ or ‘dissolving’ used to describe these types of treatments – as they physically destroy fat cells from the inside out through triggering natural chemical processes which occur organically within the body.

This is not a weight loss injection, it is targeted for clients who maintain a healthy lifestyle and exercise regime and are looking to banish any stubborn areas of fat.

Lemon Bottle’s solution is popular because it is highly effective and it’s comprised of natural active ingredients. These include:
Bromelain – Taken from pineapples, which is a powerful digestive enzyme which is often used in anti-obesity medications. It triggers fat breakdown whilst also having a powerful anti-inflammatory effect which reduces swelling and puffiness. Vitamin B2 – Which plays an essential role in turning carbohydrates, proteins and fats into energy in the body. The body can’t store much of this water-soluble vitamin, but it is crucial for fat metabolism. Lecithin – A naturally derived fatty substance which attracts both water and fats – reducing cholesterol and maintaining healthy arteries, veins and blood vessels.

It’s important to note that fat-dissolving injections like Aqualyx & Lemon Bottle are intended for use in specific areas of the body where stubborn fat deposits persist despite diet and exercise. They are not a substitute for weight loss and are most effective when used in combination with a healthy lifestyle.

Before considering any cosmetic treatment, it’s essential to consult with a qualified provider who can assess your individual needs, discuss treatment options, and provide personalised recommendations based on your goals and medical history.

It works by disrupting the fat cell membrane, causing the fat cells to release their contents. The released fat is then metabolised and eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system. This results in a reduction in the volume of fat in the treated area.

Aqualyx is commonly used to target areas of localised fat deposits, such as the chin (double chin), jowls, abdomen, arms, thighs, and hips. It is particularly effective for treating areas that are resistant to diet and exercise.

No, fat dissolving is not intended for overall weight loss. It is specifically designed for the reduction of localised fat deposits in targeted areas. It is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine for overall weight management.

The number of Aqualyx treatments needed varies depending on individual factors such as the size of the treatment area and the desired outcome. Typically, multiple treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results (normally 2-3 treatments are required but can take up to 8 for very large areas)

Lemon bottle treatments can be carried out Every week to 1 or 2 weeks, but if the area is small or client has minimal fat pockets, then twice a month is fine.

The number of treatments depends on the area and individual (normally 3 – 5 treatments are required)

Number of treatments will depend on area and the individual goals of the client.

When administered by a qualified professional, Fat dissolving is generally considered safe. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, including temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and discomfort at the injection site.

Downtime after Fat dissolving treatment is minimal for most patients. Some temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection sites may occur, but these usually resolve within a few days. Patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Suitable candidates for Fat dissolving are individuals who are in good overall health, have localised areas of stubborn fat deposits, and have realistic expectations about the outcome of the treatment. Fat dissolving may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions or contraindications.

The results of Fat dissolving treatment are permanent, as the treated fat cells are permanently destroyed and eliminated from the body. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise is essential to prevent the accumulation of new fat in the treated area.

Before undergoing Fat dissolving treatment, it’s essential to schedule a consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns. Your provider may recommend avoiding certain medications or supplements that can increase the risk of bruising, such as aspirin and blood thinners, leading up to the procedure.

It is recommended to drink two litres of water the day before treatment and day of treatment.

Here are some aftercare tips for fat-dissolving injections:

Avoid massaging or manipulating the treated area: Refrain from massaging or manipulating the treated area for at least 24-48 hours post-treatment. This helps prevent the dispersion of the injected solution and ensures it remains localised to the targeted fat cells.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out the dissolved fat cells and toxins from your body. Proper hydration can also aid in the healing process and promote optimal results (I recommend for best results to keep water intake high to help improve restults)

Apply cold compresses: If you experience any swelling or discomfort at the injection site, applying cold compresses can help reduce inflammation. Use a clean cloth or ice pack wrapped in a towel and apply it gently to the area for short intervals.

Avoid strenuous exercise: Refrain from engaging in vigorous exercise or activities that may increase blood flow to the treated area for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment. This helps minimise swelling and bruising and allows the injected solution to work effectively.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Incorporate regular exercise and a balanced diet into your routine to support the fat-dissolving process and maintain your results over time. While fat-dissolving injections can help reduce localised fat deposits, they are most effective when combined with a healthy lifestyle.

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications: Refrain from consuming alcohol or taking blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) for at least 24-48 hours post-treatment. These substances can increase the risk of bruising and swelling at the injection site.

Follow up with your provider: Attend any follow-up appointments scheduled by your provider to assess the results of the treatment and address any concerns you may have. They can provide personalised advice based on your individual response to the injections.

Be patient: It may take several weeks to see the full effects of fat-dissolving injections as the body gradually metabolises the dissolved fat cells. Be patient and allow your body time to respond to the treatment.

If you have any concerns or experience any unusual symptoms after receiving fat-dissolving injections, don’t hesitate to contact your provider for guidance.

Seventy Hyal

Seventy Hyal is a hyaluronic acid Product. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin that helps maintain hydration and plumpness. The high concentration of hyaluronic acid in Seventy Hyal helps attract and retain moisture in the skin, resulting in improved hydration and a plumper, more youthful appearance.

Hyaron Sodium Hyaluronate

Hyaron contains Sodium Hyaluronate as its primary active ingredient. Sodium Hyaluronate is a form of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps maintain hydration, elasticity, and volume. Hyaron injections is to replenish and enhance the skin’s moisture content, improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s often used for facial rejuvenation, particularly in areas where the skin has lost volume or developed lines due to aging or environmental factors.

Hyaron injections are commonly administered in various facial areas, including the cheeks,  nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines (lines around the mouth), and areas of depressed scarring. They can also be used to enhance the overall contour and volume of the face.

Profhilo

Profhilo is a type of injectable treatment known as a “bio-remodeling” or “skin laxity” treatment. It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps maintain hydration and elasticity. Profhilo is injected into multiple points in the skin, typically in the face, neck, or hands, using a specific injection technique. Once injected, Profhilo spreads evenly throughout the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin hydration, firmness, and elasticity, as well as a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Profhilo is often recommended as a treatment for skin laxity, loss of volume, and overall skin rejuvenation.

These Skin booster products offer different approaches to skin rejuvenation, addressing various concerns such as hydration, elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. As with any skin booster product, it’s essential to have a consultation to determine the most suitable products and treatments for your specific skin needs.

Skin boosters can be applied to the area eye, face, neck and decolletage depending on product selection.

Skin boosters work by delivering hydration, nutrients, and other beneficial ingredients directly into the skin, promoting hydration, collagen production, and overall skin health. Here’s how they typically work:

Hydration:

Skin boosters often contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that attracts and retains moisture. When injected into the skin, hyaluronic acid helps hydrate and plump the skin from within, improving its texture and appearance.

Stimulation of Collagen and Elastin:

Some skin boosters, such as Profhilo, contain ingredients that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Collagen and elastin are proteins that help maintain skin elasticity, firmness, and structure. By promoting collagen and elastin production, skin boosters can help improve skin tone, texture, and overall youthfulness.

Nutrient Delivery:

Skin boosters may also contain other beneficial ingredients such as vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals. These nutrients nourish the skin cells, protect against environmental damage, and support healthy skin function. By delivering these nutrients directly into the skin, skin boosters can enhance skin health and vitality.

Targeted Treatment:

Skin boosters can be customised to target specific skin concerns, such as dehydration, dullness, fine lines, wrinkles, or loss of volume. By tailoring the treatment to address individual skin needs, skin boosters can provide targeted improvement in skin texture, tone, and appearance.

Long-Lasting Results:

Depending on the specific product and treatment protocol, the results of skin boosters can last for several months. Regular maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain the benefits and achieve optimal results over time.

Overall, skin boosters work by replenishing hydration, stimulating collagen production, delivering essential nutrients, and providing targeted improvement in skin quality and appearance. They are often used to rejuvenate the skin, restore hydration, and address common signs of aging, resulting in a more youthful, radiant complexion.

When administered by a qualified and experienced professional, skin boosters are generally considered safe. However, as with any medical or cosmetic procedure, there are potential risks and considerations to be aware of. Here are some factors to consider regarding the safety of skin boosters:

Qualified Practitioner: It’s essential to seek treatment from a qualified and experienced professional, who is knowledgeable about skin boosters and has received proper training in their administration. This helps minimise the risk of complications and ensures safe and effective treatment outcomes.

Medical History and Consultation:

Before undergoing skin booster treatment, it’s important to disclose your medical history, including any allergies, medical conditions, medications, or previous cosmetic procedures. A thorough consultation with your provider will help assess your suitability for treatment and identify any potential contraindications or risk factors.

Potential Side Effects:

While skin boosters are generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience mild side effects such as redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection sites. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve within a few days. Rarely, more serious complications such as infection, allergic reactions, or granuloma formation may occur.

Adherence to Aftercare Instructions:

Following your provider’s aftercare instructions is crucial for minimising the risk of complications and optimising treatment results. This may include avoiding sun exposure, applying topical skincare products as recommended, and avoiding certain activities or medications that may increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Overall, while skin boosters are generally safe and well-tolerated, it’s essential to approach treatment with caution, and communicate openly with your provider to ensure a safe and satisfactory experience. If you have any concerns or experience unexpected side effects after treatment, be sure to contact your provider promptly for guidance and assistance.

The duration of results from skin booster treatments can vary depending on factors such as the specific product used, individual skin characteristics, treatment protocol, and lifestyle factors. In general, the effects of skin boosters typically last several months, but this can vary from person to person.
Here are some general guidelines for the longevity of skin booster results:

Hyaluronic Acid Skin Boosters

Skin boosters containing hyaluronic acid, such as those used for hydration and volumization, may provide visible improvement for approximately 6 to 12 months. However, maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain the benefits and prolong the results over time.

Collagen-Stimulating Skin Boosters

Skin boosters that stimulate collagen production, such as Profhilo, may provide longer-lasting results compared to hyaluronic acid fillers. The effects of collagen stimulation can continue for several months after treatment, with results that can last between 6 to 18 months or more.

Individual Variation

The duration of skin booster results can vary widely among individuals. Factors such as metabolism, skin type, age, and lifestyle habits (such as sun exposure, smoking, and skincare routine) can influence how long the results last.

Maintenance Treatments

To maintain the results of skin booster treatments, regular maintenance treatments may be recommended.

Cumulative Effects

With repeated treatments over time, the effects of skin boosters may become more pronounced and longer-lasting. Consistent treatment can help build and maintain improvements in skin hydration, texture, and overall appearance.

It’s important to have realistic expectations about the longevity of skin booster results and to discuss your treatment goals and expectations with your provider. They can provide personalised recommendations and guidance on the most suitable treatment options for your individual needs. Additionally, following a comprehensive skincare routine and adopting healthy lifestyle habits can help optimise and prolong the results of skin booster treatments.

The downtime after skin booster treatments is typically minimal, but it can vary depending on factors such as the specific treatment performed, individual skin characteristics, and the extent of the procedure. Here’s what you can generally expect in terms of downtime after skin booster treatments:

Redness and Swelling:

It’s common to experience mild redness, swelling, or inflammation at the injection sites immediately after skin booster treatments. This typically resolves within a few hours to a few days, depending on the individual’s skin sensitivity and the intensity of the treatment.

Bruising:

Some individuals may experience bruising at the injection sites, especially in areas where the skin is thinner or more delicate. Bruising is usually mild to moderate and resolves within a few days to a week.

Discomfort or Tenderness:

You may experience mild discomfort or tenderness at the injection sites, which can feel similar to a mild sunburn or bruise. This usually resolves within a few days and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers if necessary.

Avoiding Certain Activities:

While downtime is minimal, it’s generally recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun exposure, hot baths or saunas, and certain skincare products (such as exfoliants or retinoids) for the first 24 to 48 hours after skin booster treatments. This helps minimise the risk of complications and allows the skin to heal properly.

Makeup and Skincare:

You can typically resume your regular skincare and makeup routine the following day after skin booster treatments, although it’s best to use gentle, non-irritating products for the first few days.

Overall, downtime after skin booster treatments is minimal, and most individuals are able to resume their normal activities shortly after treatment. However, it’s essential to follow your provider’s aftercare instructions carefully and to contact them if you have any concerns or experience unexpected side effects during the recovery period.

Suitable candidates for skin boosters are individuals who are looking to improve the overall hydration, texture, and appearance of their skin. While specific candidacy may vary depending on the type of skin booster and individual goals, here are some general characteristics of suitable candidates:

Mild to Moderate Skin Aging:

Skin boosters are often suitable for individuals with mild to moderate signs of skin aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and loss of elasticity. They can help rejuvenate the skin and restore a more youthful appearance.

Dehydrated or Dry Skin:

Skin boosters are particularly beneficial for individuals with dehydrated or dry skin, as they provide deep hydration and improve skin moisture levels. They can help replenish the skin’s natural moisture barrier and restore a smooth, radiant complexion.

Loss of Volume or Firmness:

Individuals who have experienced a loss of volume or firmness in the skin, particularly in areas such as the cheeks, temples, or hands, may benefit from skin boosters that provide volumising or lifting effects.

Uneven Skin Texture or Tone:

Skin boosters can help improve the overall texture and tone of the skin, addressing concerns such as roughness, uneven pigmentation, or acne scarring. They can promote a smoother, more even complexion and reduce the appearance of imperfections.

Preventative Aging:

Skin boosters can also be suitable for younger individuals who are looking to prevent or delay the onset of visible signs of aging. By maintaining optimal skin hydration and collagen production, skin boosters can help preserve a youthful appearance over time.

Realistic Expectations:

Suitable candidates for skin boosters have realistic expectations about the results of the treatment. While skin boosters can provide noticeable improvements in skin hydration, texture, and appearance, they may not completely eliminate all signs of aging or address severe skin laxity or volume loss.

Good General Health:

Candidates for skin boosters should be in good general health and free from any active skin infections, inflammatory conditions, or other medical concerns that may affect the safety or efficacy of the treatment.
Willingness to Follow Aftercare Instructions: Candidates for skin boosters should be willing to follow their provider’s aftercare instructions, which may include avoiding certain activities or skincare products for a brief period after treatment to optimize results and minimize the risk of complications.

It’s essential to consult with a qualified provider to determine your suitability for skin booster treatments and to discuss your individual goals, concerns, and treatment options. They can assess your skin condition, medical history, and aesthetic goals and recommend a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Preparing for a skin booster treatment involves taking steps to ensure optimal results and minimise the risk of complications. Here are some tips to help you prepare for your skin booster treatment:

Consultation:

Schedule a consultation with a qualified provider who for skin booster treatments. During the consultation, discuss your skincare concerns, goals, and expectations. Your provider will assess your skin condition, medical history, and suitability for treatment, and recommend the most appropriate skin booster product and treatment plan for you.

Follow Provider Instructions:

Follow any pre-treatment instructions provided by your provider. This may include avoiding certain medications or supplements that can increase the risk of bruising or bleeding, such as aspirin or blood thinners. Be sure to disclose any medications, supplements, or skincare products you are currently using.

Stay Hydrated:

Proper hydration is essential for healthy skin. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to ensure your skin is well-hydrated. Hydrated skin is better able to absorb the skin booster product and maximise treatment results.

Avoid Sun Exposure:

Minimise sun exposure and avoid tanning beds in the weeks leading up to your treatment. Sunburn or excessive sun exposure can increase the risk of skin irritation, inflammation, and complications during and after the treatment. If you need to be outdoors, be sure to apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher and wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses.

Skincare Routine:

Follow your regular skincare routine in the days leading up to your treatment, but avoid using harsh or abrasive products that may irritate the skin. Gentle cleansing and moisturising can help prepare the skin for treatment and optimise treatment outcomes.

Arrive Clean and Makeup-Free:

On the day of your treatment, arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. This allows your provider to assess your skin condition accurately and ensures that the skin booster product can be applied to clean, dry skin for optimal absorption.

Plan for Downtime:

While downtime after skin booster treatments is typically minimal, you may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. Plan accordingly by scheduling your treatment when you can take time to rest and recover, if needed.

Communicate with Your Provider:

If you have any questions or concerns about your treatment or preparation, don’t hesitate to communicate with your provider. They can provide personalised advice and guidance to help ensure a successful treatment experience.

By following these tips and preparing appropriately for your skin booster treatment, you can help ensure optimal results and a positive treatment experience.

Aftercare following a skin booster treatment is essential for optimising results, minimising discomfort, and reducing the risk of complications. Here are some aftercare guidelines to follow:

Avoid Touching the Treated Area: After the treatment, avoid touching or rubbing the treated area to minimise the risk of infection and irritation.

Apply Cold Compresses: If you experience any swelling or discomfort after the treatment, you can apply cold compresses or ice packs to the treated area for short intervals. This can help reduce swelling and soothe the skin.

Keep the Skin Clean and Hydrated: Continue to keep the skin clean and hydrated following the treatment. Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser to cleanse and hydrate the skin as needed. Avoid using harsh or abrasive skincare products that may irritate the skin.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect the treated area from sun exposure by wearing sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher and avoiding direct sunlight, tanning beds, and excessive heat for at least a week after the treatment. Sun exposure can increase the risk of inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and other complications.

Avoid Excessive Heat: Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for the first 24 to 48 hours after the treatment. Excessive heat can increase blood flow to the skin and exacerbate swelling and inflammation.

Avoid Makeup and Skincare Products: Avoid applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment. This allows the skin to heal properly and reduces the risk of irritation or infection.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and support skin healing and regeneration. Proper hydration is essential for maintaining skin health and optimising treatment results.

Follow Provider Instructions: Follow any specific aftercare instructions provided by your provider. This may include using certain skincare products, avoiding certain activities or medications, and attending follow-up appointments as recommended.

Monitor for Signs of Complications: Keep an eye on the treated area for any signs of infection, allergic reactions, or other complications. Contact your provider immediately if you experience severe or persistent redness, swelling, pain, itching, or other concerning symptoms.

By following these aftercare guidelines and communicating with your provider, you can help ensure a smooth recovery and achieve optimal results from your skin booster treatment.
